About the Role:

The Finance Controller duties involve a wide range of support activities to our US Operations President & CFO (EDS USA), from coordinating meetings, working with vendors & accountants, to maintaining accurate financial records (GL), conducting payroll and managing daily operations. An important part of your role will be to act as the liaison between EDS USA and EDS IPL employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. You’ll lead EDS IPL finance, support the EDS USA organization and assist in creating, maintain and supporting relevant policies, processes, records and documents.


About You:

Skills we’re looking for include excellent organization ability, familiarity with finance software (Quickbooks) and strong English communication skills. To be an ideal candidate, you should also hold a finance related degree and have some experience in the services or software industry. You should be able to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure. Ultimately, you’ll ensure our finance department is organized and operates smoothly to attract, hire and retain 100’s employees.



  1. Lead the finance effort, look for continuous ways of process improvement, also assist Human Resources and Engineering as needed.

  2. Assist with day to day operations of the Finance functions, reviewing processes for improvements (streamlining and documenting processes)

  3. Work closely with Human Resources to implement new salary components and comply with legal, regulatory & financial laws, as well as support to EDS USA clerical and administrative duties related to EDS IPL

  4. Manage the payroll process, determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee deductions.(Based on Tax slabs and Investment proof for Income Tax submitted by employees)

  5. Manage employee expense management (reimbursement / Petty Cash).

  6. Work closely with our accounting firm on tax related matters including monthly, quarterly & yearly statutory returns, challans and year end reports.

  7. Prepares reports/dashboards by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, bonuses payout, deductions, leave, etc.

  8. Manage and ensure to adhere with all payroll related compliance

  9. Coordinate Finance projects (meetings, bank related, training, surveys, interviews, etc) and take minutes for board meetings.

  10. Serve as an employee point of contact for all tax related queries, communications, and troubleshooting, including working closely with our accounting firm.

  11. Manage payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc)

  12. Communicate and meet in person with public services when necessary (such as bank or regulatory)

  13. Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures

  14. Conduct initial financial orientation to newly hired employees



  1. Helpful to has proven experience as an controller, or relevant finance and administrative position

  2. Fast computer typing skills (MS Office, in particular)

  3. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and any finance, HR/Payroll specific software (Quickbooks, GreytHR)

  4. Basic knowledge of labor laws

  5. Good working knowledge of tax & regulatory laws

  6. Excellent organizational skills

  7. Strong communications skills

  8. Helpful to have a degree in Finance or related field
