About the Role:
As an ESG Analyst with approximately 2 years of experience, you will play a key role in monitoring and analyzing the evolving ESG regulatory landscape. This role involves researching changes in ESG regulations, analyzing their impact on the firm’s clients, and ensuring data accuracy and reliability through quality monitoring and collaboration with data vendors. You will also contribute to the ESG product roadmap by providing insights and auditing new product features. Additionally, you will support the customer success team in resolving escalations and providing valuable input into the continuous improvement of ESG data offerings. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a passion for sustainability, and a deep understanding of ESG frameworks and data vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Research and Analysis: Stay updated on changes to ESG regulatory landscape, Competition ESG platforms, and changes.
- Data Collection: Review periodic additions/amends to the datasets and analyse implications to firm’s existing client base.
- Data Quality Monitoring: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of ESG data by monitoring data quality and implementing necessary improvements.
- Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with data vendors to obtain high-quality ESG data and resolve any data-related issues.
- ESG Product Roadmap: Contribute to the development and execution of the ESG product roadmap.
- QA & Support: Audit new features rolled out to the ESG product, and act as a level 2 support for customer success to work on escalations.
Desired Skills / Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, environmental science, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA ESG certification, GARP SCR) is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in ESG analysis, sustainable investing, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly.
- Knowledge of ESG frameworks and standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD).
- Experience with data feed vendors i.e. Sustainalytics, MSCI, Refinitiv, CDP will be a big plus.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in analyzing data and identifying key ESG factors.
